For this special one-off album, Measha was inspired to record
material from contemporary songwriters with a heavy focus on
Canadian songs. Working with acclaimed arranger Aaron Davis
(Holly Cole), Brueggergosman gives her take on tracks written by
some of Canada’s best including Feist, Ron Sexsmith and Joni
Mitchell. Duet partners include Canada's Got Talent co-judge Martin
Short ("Misty"), legendary East Coast storyteller Lennie Gallant
("Partons la mer est belle"), and Halifax's David Myles, with whom
she co-wrote the R&B-inspired “Whole To My Half.” Standards also feature heavy on this 13-track gem, such as Cole Porter's "Miss Otis Regrets" and the Gershwins “I’ve Got A Crush On You.”
